Our Story
My name is Faranak, and I am the proud owner of KONJ Café, an authentic Iranian eatery that celebrates the rich culinary heritage of my beloved homeland. Born and raised in the beautiful town of Sanandaj, Iran, I spent years working as an Aircraft Controller in bustling London before realizing my lifelong dream of opening a traditional café.
In December 2019, KONJ opened its doors, marking the beginning of an exciting journey that has been defined by passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to serving delicious food to our cherished customers. While running a café is a business, my vision for KONJ has always been to create a space that feels like a home away from home, where every visitor is welcomed like an old friend.
At KONJ, we take pride in preparing meals that are inspired by generations of recipes passed down through our family’s kitchen in Iran. Our use of aromatic ingredients such as saffron, cinnamon, rosewater, cardamom, and barberries, all lend our dishes a unique and unforgettable flavor that transports our customers to the heart of Iran.
Our diverse menu offers creative and nutritious dishes that cater to all palates, ranging from savory wraps and stews to refreshing salads and sides. And when it comes to our baked goods, we don’t compromise on quality. Our lovingly made pastries and sweets are the perfect accompaniment to our hearty meals.
